ACCOUNTANT. At AMS, Kathy Bland handles the day-to-day accounting functions for three of their six companies. She ensures timely month-end closings and prepares financial documents for the practices. Additionally, Kathy alternates as the lead on projects such as system upgrades, migrations, and onboarding new practices.
About Kathy
Her professional journey began in her early 20s when she started working as a part-time teller at a local bank. Kathy climbed the ranks within the bank, eventually leading their items processing team. She transitioned to a nonprofit organization where she served as Manager of Continuous Improvement. There, her banking background proved invaluable, leading to her overseeing Accounting, HR, and Building Management.
Kathy specializes in the use of NetSuite and has a strong background in banking and nonprofit management. Her core skills include detailed financial management, project leadership, and process improvement.
Kathy describes herself as a highly self-motivated individual who dislikes failure. This drives her dedication, goal-oriented approach, and dependability. She pays meticulous attention to detail and prefers to find solutions to problems rather than applying temporary fixes.
Kathy Bland holds a Bachelor’s degree in IT Operational Management from Bellevue University. Outside of work, Kathy enjoys spending time outdoors with her family, especially during the summer. She loves camping in their new camper, reading good books, chasing her toddler around, and playing Mario Kart with her oldest child.
